Pack Your Passport

With the arrival of spring I can't help but think of places I want to visit. But before you can go anywhere, there's one thing you can't forget...your passport.

Matthew Williamson for H&M

Today Tomorrow (4/23) is part one of the launch of H&M new line, which is a collaboration with Matthew Williamson. He is known for his attention to detail and elegance, and use of color. And expect no less from this new line. However, this first launch will only hit select stores and features only a collection for women. But come May 7th, M.W and H&M will finally unveil their men's collection, and at all of their 1,700 locations no less.

Unfortunately their aren't many photos of the M.W first attempt at men's clothing. But I expect the line to be a huge hit. Not only given the array of colors that we are already seeing this spring, but the shear fact the H&M collaborations are usually a huge success. It's a recipe for success if you as me.

Umbrella has a new name and it's...Davek

An umbrella can be a great way to accessorize. But forget about your old umbrella and the days manual labor. Engineering genius Dave Kahngof brings us the Duvek Umbrella.

What makes this a piece of art is not the 190-thread count microweave fabric (most tightly woven material available) or the lifetime guarantee, it's the fact that with the click of a button, you can open or close it the umbrella. Above we have the Davek Solo (RTP $99).

This is Davek Traveler (RTp $95) and is a slightly smaller version of the SOLO. I personally prefer the Traveler.

Leather, Leather, Leather

Valet Mag did a piece on new up-and-coming leather lines, and I decided that a few of them deserved another 'forward' mention.

This beautiful bag by Want Les Essentiels De La Vie retails for $1,559 and would make a great addition to my bag collection.

Also, this leather and fabric duffel bag by Makr would be a good substitute, and it retails for $395.

Me like...me want too!

Not Liking the Breeze

From Italy to Australia we are seeing the emerge of the 'poopy' pant. And I'm not talking about the pants that rappers sport. But it's, for a lack of better words, a drapped, drop crotch look.

This is a bold look, and is not for everyone. Personally, I don't see that in my closet any time soon. However, if you are feeling quirky why not try 'em on. But beware, saggy pants are every moms nightmare...

The Key To a Mans Hart...

Every man should enjoy the finer things in life. So why should that not apply that to foods. Next time you plan a party, try changing out the chips bowl for a fancy fritters platter.

Limited Edition

In an attempt to mainstream themselves, Filson teamed up with Urban Outfitters and launched a limited edition bag collection. The collection includes a navy, canvas weekend bag (RTP $205) and a light khaki tote (RTP $129).

I really don't see much of a difference between this tote bag and their 'regular' totes, but I rather enjoy the weekend bag...hmmm if only I was employed!

Add a Little Extra

When your ensemble feels a a little bland, try adding some color to your feet; like these suede shoes from John Varvatos. It's a great way to add a a 'subtle' fines to your look.... Plus, you might just find the compliments exhilarating!

Also, try a straw hat on for size. But PLEASE...baseball caps are not hats and should only be worn during the gym!

A Day in My Shoes...Walk #1

For the past year or two I've been taking random pictures of me and my shoes; anywhere from me walking around town or just resting by a bench.

Whatever the occasion, I though I'd post some of the images that I've taken and give you an idea of the the type of shoe that occupies my closet.

Comfort is key...but so is variety!
